The freshmen admitted to the BIGC "External Training Planabroad" participated in the orientation on September 92015.

 The "External Training Planabroad" (hereinafter referred to as the Plan), is funded by Beijing Municipal Commission of Education and initiated to prepare internationally-oriented professionals and  improve the quality of talent training. It’s proposed that 8 students from Publishing Engineering and Digital Media Technology would be selected. Up to this time, 4 students who were evenly selected from the two majors were admitted.

      Li Xiaoquan, the Dean of the School of International Education, gave a detailed introduction of the background information and general points concerning the Plan. He listed the admission requirements of the Plan and illustrated the training models for the students. He attached much significance and importance to the Plans in his introduction. Li wish the students cherish this precious opportunity, improve their English proficiency and skills, and make full preparations for further study in America. Lin Lin, the Director of China Initiative of Rinker Center for International Programs of Ball State Universitypresented a general picture of the basic information of BSU for the students. Ball State University is a comprehensive university with advanced equipment, beautiful and safe campus, and systematic administration. Lin further introduced the basic necessities of life, such as food, clothing, sheltering and means of transportation at the BSU campus. With Lin’s patient introduction, the students were relaxed and full of expectation. They were eager to experience the program of study abroad one year later. Liu Faqun, the Vice Director of CHEPD 121 Program, systematically illustrated in full length the preparations needed for the program of study in America, and again emphasized the significance of improving English skills. Zhao Shengwei, the Vice Secretary of the BIGC Party Committee, and Xu Wencai, the Vice President of BIGC had a talk with Lin and her group before the orientation was held. The two parties exchanged their opinions as to the Program and related affairs, and the next move was in process. Zhao Shengwei showed much concerns in the cooperation between BIGC and BSU, the lives of the first group of students sent to America, and expressed his expectations of expanding cooperation fields with US universities. Furthermore, the two parties discussed and negotiated to properly handle affairs concerning the visit to BSU.
